N.O.V.A Escape
N.O.V.A Escape was a 2D Platformer I worked on with Gabriel Lea, Zak Bergman, and Leo Zamora. In the game, you play as a robot with the ability to teleport who must escape from the research facility where he’s being held. Due to issues with scope and time, we were really only able to make two levels and some of the original ideas had to be cut.
I created the roaming enemies and the stasis chambers used as exits. Both of which were made using 3ds Max. I modeled, skinned, rigged, textured, and animated the walking turret myself. There’s also a crate prop that wasn’t used in the game. I also worked on the concept sketches for the levels.
We originally planned on implementing a ceiling turret, but we had to scrap the enemy due to time constraints. To see what it would’ve looked like, as well as more detailed images of my models from the game, visit the 3D art page of the website.
