Asteroid Escape

Asteroid Escape was a 2D Platformer with survival horror elements. I worked on this game with Cooper Fink and Adam Crausman in which we had to create a game with the limitations of the original Gameboy in mind. The game involves a miner whose ship crashes on an alien invested asteroid, and must navigate through its complex cave systems in order to obtain the missing ship parts while avoiding the aliens. I ended up being the main artist for the group, creating the original props and models as well as UI elements used in the game.

I created the models for the spaceship, ship parts, and the aliens. As we were working with the limited color palette of the Gameboy, I didn’t really add any textures since most of the details wouldn’t have shown in the actual game. I also created the UI icons for the health, shockwaves, and the ship parts in the inventory.
